Okay, okay, I'll do another post. I've been away from posting for a while because I don't want to fill up the blog with negativity...and I haven't had much good to say since the last post. I am still SO sick! Another trip to the ER, another trip to the doctor to change medications (which seems to be helping a bit), and a ton of nausea, gagging, and heaving! So much fun!
That being said, there have been several positives since the last post. Thanksgiving week was in there and we drove to Phoenix to see Scott's family. It was really good to see them, and I had a better than usual week (which just meant I was able to be social for little spurts of the day and eat five bites of Thanksgiving dinner) for most of it (the drive home on Sunday was AWFUL!). For those that don't know, Scott's Mom had a stroke in July and is still not getting around - but is making progress! So, everyone pitched in and made a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner!
Another absolutely wonderful series of events since my last post is that our friends banded together to bring us dinner once a week. Lisa, Mark, and Dylan came the first week. It was so good to socialize a little and feel normal for a couple of hours! They brought a great pasta dish, salad, and garlic bread. We ate leftovers for days! It was fabulous!
Julie, Gerald, and Jilly came over the next week with meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and salad. She made so many mashed potatoes that we are still nibbling on them! She made both the meatloaf and mashed potatoes with "hidden" vegetables. I am going to have to get that book! Everything was delicious and Jilly was thoroughly entertaining!
Tonight Danielle, Craig, and Natty P come to visit with lasagna - YUM! And in a couple of days, Tracy, Jeff, Kaylie, and Ellie will visit! For those of you who never experienced Hyperemesis of Pregnancy, you have NO idea how WONDERFUL it has been to have everyone cook for us! This week is especially good timing since Scott just had knee surgery yesterday and is completely laid up. Fortunately, I'm able to get around a little better than usual, just don't look at the state of our house!
Thank you to everyone for your calls of concern and support!

k, so the emoticon might have been a little overboard!! :-) really, i am so sorry it has been so rough, but am thrilled that you have such awesome friend to help make it a tiny bit more bearable!!
Hey Koreen! I hope you guys are both hanging in there!Just wanted to tell you that you WILL feel better soon! and then you will be stupid happy. ( nothing like hyperemesis to make us appreciate the good times huh?)What helped me get through was thinking about the fun stuff, like the baby shower, and we went for a 4D ultrasound to find out the sex early ( which was amazing!)
and I would go buy stuff that I always wanted to buy when I was trying so hard to get pregnant
(like little frilly dresses that are not practical), and if I could eat ANYTHING that day I gave myself permission to get it (which sucks for the budget but is totally necessary!)
There are still gonna be days where you feel like the only person you've talked to is Mr. Tidy Bowl, and I also barfed so hard that I peed my pants ( which we laugh about now, but I cried about then!!)But just remember what a strong person you are and how you made it through all of the infertility stuff!! If I made it, you will too. Much Love, Melissa
